Travis serves as the head elder and teaching pastor for NewSong's community. Prior to joining NewSong, Travis was involved with church planting in Ukraine, serving as the co-founding and lead pastor of Trinity Christian Church (Kharkov, UA). Travis was trained in ministry while growing up in Kharkov, Ukraine in the home of a church-planting missionary family. In 1994 he began his pastoral apprenticeship at New Life Church in Kharkov,  completing his training at the Kharkov Ministry Training Center. Travis is passionate about leading people to Jesus, developing disciples and creating a community where people can experience the life-changing power of God. He serves on the coaching staff of the Antioch Multiplication Program helping mentor and develop church planters and leaders of missional community. He is currently studying for his M.Div at St. Mathias Seminary. Travis is also the founder of Missional Media, a small multimedia production studio located outside of Boston and can occasionally be found tracking, engineering, and producing for local bands and artists, Travis and Becky have been married for 11 years and have two daughters, Caelyn and Amelia.

Becky oversees the KidSong and Family Life ministry teams and develops programs and ministries that help kids and students discover and grow in a relationship with Jesus.


Nelson Ruiz  |  Pastor of Community  |  nelson@newsongs.org  
Nelson is a member of our pastoral staff and also serves as a teaching elder and ministry leader within NewSong. Nelson and his wife, Magali, live in Tyngsboro along with their two daughters, Raquel and Rebekah. As part of their calling and partnering with NewSong's mission to gather and equip disciples, Nelson and Magali will be launching a discipleship community in their local area in Fall 2012.
