Last Sunday, NewSong teacher John Peatfield preached from the Parable of the Vine and Parable of the Mustard Seed to describe and define Kingdom-driven community.  John reminded us first that, "The Church exists for those that are not yet part of it," reminding us of our need to be constantly inclusive, and second that, "a tree is known by the fruit it produces." Are you "on mission" and are you producing results that prove it? 

Last Sunday, Pastor Travis Jarrett preached from the Parable of the Wedding Feast, connecting the mission of Jesus with the invitational heart of the Father, defining our role as "citizen-servants" within the Kingdom of God and commissioning us to continue Christ's plea: "Come back to God!"

In this message, Pastor Travis begins a new teaching series called "Secrets" which explores key truths conveyed by Jesus in his parables. Last Sunday, we explored the secrets of prayer found in the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. Travis shared how prayer is impacted by desperation and boldness.

In this message, Pastor Travis Jarrett preaches from 1 John 5:21 and identifies different forms of modern idols that our culture and our families may be worshiping. He teaches us how to recognize these idols in our own homes and then leads us through a process of removal and replacement, sharing with us the Scriptural principle of transforming idols into altars.

Last Sunday we launched our summer series through the book of 1 John. Our series is called, "No Fear in Love" and as we read through it, our hope and expectation is that together we will grow closer to Jesus as we live for His Kingdom.
